Saying I Will

Solo exhibition at Kunsthal Kongegaarden, Korsør, Denmark. Exhibition period: 3. October 2025 – 30. November 2026.

Saying I Will consists of a series of ceramic sculptural crowns accompanied by new works in glazed stoneware, textiles, and plastic. The exhibition explores the paradox of humanity: we are the planet’s most powerful species, yet we lack full control over our actions. The ornate, richly coloured crowns play with ideas of desire, ornament, and absurdity, with titles such as Ruler of the Nervous System and Ruler of the Migratory Birds’ Lines highlighting the limits of human power. Using the crown as a symbolic starting point, the works reflect on human ambition, our impact on the world, and the need for humility in the face of life’s complexities.
